As of today, 11/26/2023, mine's still stuck at the same version from 05/11/2023 as stated in the OP. I'm sticking with the Merlin firmware as stated near the end of the thread - it's working like a charm.

@Adam_M- Thanks Adam, that did the trick for me too. No more errors and also a slightly improved UI.I'm sticking with the Merlin firmware from here on.
