No luck, put router in restore mode, set static IP for NIC, software kept refusing to restore firmware.

how does it know where to send the firmware file to? when it is bricked there is no ip address.

Well that was exciting, tried applying 3 different firmware versions and the 3rd one bricked my router. I can't even get it back with reset button.

When you do a hard reset do you save your settings so you can apply them back or can the settings cause the same issue?

Brand new router, although honestly, I updated the firmware when I got it, so I don't know what the version before was. You are suggesting finding an earlier version of the firmware?Do you have a version of the software you advise?
