I found the solution, the cable I was using was too long. Thunderbolt has a limit to how far it works. Just couldn't get my head around the error from Windows and the fact that the usb ports on the monitor and the charging worked.Anyways thank you fo...

HDMI works fine, but I would like the convenience of usb c functionality. Yes it`s the correct monitor. I know that the usbc cable is of a high speed, usb 3.1 at least.
