I have sometime the same probleme. I reed it could be a probleme with the computer (AMD processor).The method works with my hold laptot (intel 2 core, 32 bits, but only with Lubuntu and a the pre-command "sudo")

I have the same problem.Did you try to tape *#*#checkin#*#* in the phone app ? Normally it permit the oem unlock, but it doesn't work for me.I'm searching a solution too...
