WhatsApp / Google Messages notifications turning to silent by themselves.

Anyone else experienced that? I'm on the latest update but the issue has been there for quite some time.Some of my notifications from messaging apps are turning into silent notifications (they don't show an icon at the top of the screen).Cheers
