Phones headphone jack stopped working so was wondering if I can use a usb to 3.5mm adapter(without a dac) to directly access the phone dac

There's a faint smell of battery coming from my phone when i stick my nose close to the usb-c ports and headphone jack. Is the battery leaking? Cause I haven't noticed any overheating or serious battery draining

I think they test for loudness throughout the entire frequency that might be the reason

In terms of loudness nothing comes close to the rog 2 and imo that's the most important thing for phone speakers
