I too had the same problem with original (box) cable. I just changed the box cable and used a friend's cable instead and it worked. So purchased a new cable and problem solved.

This is because you must have installed Aarogya Setu app. This app asks for Bluetooth to remain on all the time so as to interact with other setu apps and update you if you have interacted with any Corona virus suspects. Try uninstalling the app.
