Hi,

 

You can try these two steps that have helped others with similar issues:

 

  1. Make sure you're using the correct function key (often Fn + F3 or the key with a backlight icon) to toggle the keyboard backlight.
  2. Download and install the latest ASUS ATK Package and keyboard drivers from the ASUS support page for your UX8406CA, then restart your laptop.

Hi!
Sorry I missed your answer. Thanks a lot.
The function key is F4 in this model (UX8406CA). I press it and see a changing message from backlight turned off, then on, up to maximum brightness, so the software is recognizing the option. Keyboard backlight is still not working.
About the ATK Package, this model does not have it, but there is the Asus System Control Interface v3 with the same purpose. I uninstalled it, reinstalled, then rebooted the laptop and the keyboard backlight is still off.
I followed the EC full reset procedure and nothing.
What can I do in addition?
