Aeroactive cooler 6+ Xbox controller

Hey guys, I just wanted to know if it's possible to use the side of my ROG Phone 6 while the Aeroactive cooler is attached, as I plan to use it with an XBOX controller, and can't get the bottom port to work using a type c to c cable.
