Zenfone 9 slow wakeup

My Zenfone 9 when the screen is off used to wake up instantly when I touched (not pressed) the start button. Now there is a noticeable and very irritating lag before the screen comes on and it sometimes seems to require an actual press of the button to wake it up. I have plenty of storage space. Can anyone help resolve this problem?

Same problem. I have the screen unlock set to press a button. Very often the unlock delay is so long (about 3-5 seconds) that I press the button repeatedly, which causes the screen to immediately light up, but at the same time the phone to immediately lock again. Very annoying.

The phone is in a state after a factory reset (on A13) -> update to A14 via firmware "ZenFone 9 (AI2202) Software Image: WW-34.0304.2004.145, for WW/EU/JP SKUs" from Asus Zenfone 9 Support Web Page -> factory reset (on A14). I am using identical third-party software as before the update to A14.
