DanishbluntI know but would like to be able to use it on auto just as I did with the Zenfone 8https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/223867#Comment_223867
Make sure DC dimming is enabled and the phone is at 60hz, there should be no flicker whatsoever.

Evolution101I don't understand the logic. If you're not able to handle the flickering, then why would you expose yourself willingly to it?https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/223871#Comment_223871

DanishbluntSimply because I would like to experience it with higher Hz without experiencing pwm which is possible on the Zenfone 8. So rather than downgrade it through the settings I could just use a Zenfone 8 without having to miss the better screen performance.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/223874#Comment_223874

It doesnt matter if its the zf8 or zf9, its still flickering unless you do 60hz with dc dimming on. Regardless if the zf8 or zf9 gives you less headaches on auto mode, you shouldnt torture yourself by using auto mode on either device to begin with.
