Display and pwm

Is the display identical to the Zenfone 8 hence the pwm value should be the same?

Make sure DC dimming is enabled and the phone is at 60hz, there should be no flicker whatsoever.

There are some apps with different approach on dimming, anyone tried this?

I don't understand the logic. If you're not able to handle the flickering, then why would you expose yourself willingly to it?
It doesnt matter if its the zf8 or zf9, its still flickering unless you do 60hz with dc dimming on. Regardless if the zf8 or zf9 gives you less headaches on auto mode, you shouldnt torture yourself by using auto mode on either device to begin with.

Simply because I would like to experience it with higher Hz without experiencing pwm which is possible on the Zenfone 8. So rather than downgrade it through the settings I could just use a Zenfone 8 without having to miss the better screen performance.

For me, the whole point of buying Zenfone the first time had to do with its limited pwm. There wouldn't remain any sufficient reason continuing with this brand if the pwm is similar to other leading brands.
