Hello 😉

/Zenfone9/Android 13/No Rooted/AllTime/Stock Camera App/

I get Zenfone 9 two weeks ago - tested some features and everything was okay, but yesterday I spotted weird thing with camera and it's annoying cuz I cannot record any videos at 60+ frames.

When I record video in eny resolution with 30FPS it's okay, but when I change for 60FPS or I go for slovmotion video mode (120/240) when i recording and when playing recorded video I see annoying screen flickering, strips in video - it's look like this:

Thats obviously a normal compact fluorescent lightbulb flickering and has nothing to do with the phone or its camera. Record a video outside in broad daylight and you'll see no flickering.

I have the same issue and mods chalked it down to being flicker from the power or the flicker rate of the lights. I never had this issue on any other phone but no solution was offered. All apps does this and I think it's the camera module or drivers or what ever. It's super annoying. Happened on Android 12 and also on 13. I don't understand why it has to happen. Can't take a picture with white light inside lol

Hey, thank you for ur reply. It's good to know that I'm not alone 🙂

Before you post reply I looks for answer and I find some video/materials and this issue is also in different phone brands like samsung, google etc. and this happens generally indoor when your camera have different refresh rate than room lights. Maybe this is the reason - but I'm concerned and not sure...

So I waiting for answer from someone who is specialist in this case and explain, maybe I should send phone for warranty repair?

Cheers 😉

Just funny how it didn't happen on my Samsung S22.. At all. With same bulbs. Here it happens on all images and on video. Never had it on old phones either. Say what you will. I understand the science you're laying out but that doesn't subtract from me never having it before. 😞
