No audio output from wired earphones

I updated my phone today from Android 9 to Android 10 (build - 1910.73). There is no audio output from wired earphones, the speakers work fine. The phone shows the headset connected symbol on the status bar. I've tested a couple of earphones as well as tried using the type C to 3.5mm adapter to no avail.
Can you help me resolve my issue?

Nevermind, I powered off the phone and booted it and the audio works again! I had restarted the phone from the power off menu earlier which did not help.
