Asus Calling Screen [Annoy Screen]

This app is has more bugs than features. Bugs:
- Heads-up notification doesn't work(even if I enable it)
- Calling screen won't let me to go back to any other app while the phone is ringing.
- Display turns on automatically while on call even if I press power button to turn it off (option to turn off the proximity sensor doesn't work). To make it worse, the proximity sensor on this phone is not in the center.

I don't know if I understand your issues but I think I do and these are not bugs. It's Android Pie.
If you look at a Pixel phone, it will behave exactly the same. So you're either used to another version of android or some other manufacturer that has implemented their own changes to android

Heads-up notification is supposed to show up while I get an incoming call when I am using my phone, which actually doesn't work on this phone. All I get is a full caller screen with no option to go back unless I accept or decline the call. Heads-up notification works properly for all other apps.
Regarding the proximity sensor, I am pretty sure it is a bug with Asus Calling Screen app because, power button should turn off the display while I am on call and shouldn't be turning on the display unless I press the power button again.
Asus really needs to work on the 'Asus Calling Screen' app.

Incoming calls will act differently depending on which app you're currently using when you get the call. In some apps, you will get the full call screen and for others, you will have a smaller window at the top. This is stock android behavior and which app that does what is controlled by the developer of that app. Not ASUS.
The proximity sensor is supposed to work like you describe so it may be that you have a faulty proximity sensor.
You can test it by accessing our service menu which you can find in the native calculator.  You must type .12345+= then you choose single test, scroll down to proximity sensor and follow the instructions

Thank you for the reply. The proximity sensor is working properly, I have tested it as you suggested. The issue what I face is, while I am on the call, if I press the power button to turn off the screen, it shouldn't be turning on the screen unless I press the power button again. All the previous Android phones I owned never had this issue.
