gszkopI've looked and yes, the BIOS is not in a graphical interface. I don't believe, however, that makes the BIOS itself "old". 😉https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/175712#Comment_175712
Do You have "old" BIOS with no graphical interface ?

gszkopI've only been using my new UX582 i9 for a few hours, but I haven't heard any sound anomalies so far. I don't hear any sound difference when locking the keyboard on ScreenPad+.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/175713#Comment_175713
This not only applies to Windows notifications, but is very rare in other cases. can you check e.g. the sound after locking the keyboard on Screen pad +?

TraderGaryi had versions with i9 and i returned due to speaker buzzing temperatures which prevent i9 from working at full performance.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/175727#Comment_175727

I'm wondering what other hardware differences there might be, as I have the I9 version, and you have the i7 version.

gszkopMy UX582 i9 is, so far, working quite well. I've now stressed it with DaVinci Resolve Studio 4K video processing and there is no sign of temperature throttling or not working at full performance. The fans can get a bit loud when rendering 4K video files, but this is to be expected. My speakers sound excellent with no buzzing. In fact, the speaker sound has exceeded my expectation. I've not yet had my UX582 i9 for a full day. If I experience any problems, I will relate them on this thread.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/175746#Comment_175746

TraderGaryhow do you check for throttling? Run HWinfo and render video. You'll see throttling occur.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/175749#Comment_175749
