Please Support Linux:Pro Duo 2024 UX8406 Keyboard multimedia keys, Sound/HD Audio

Russtopia
Star I

Hi, I posted in the wrong section a few weeks ago: https://zentalk.asus.com/t5/fan-chat/duo-pro-2024-ux8406-linux-screen-dock-un-dock-display-control/t...

My post above describes how I was able to make keyboard docking control the secondary screen in X (xwindows) as smoothly as in Windows; and bluetooth support appears to work if one's kernel includes the proper drivers (btintel).

However, there are some outstanding features:

1. HD Audio
2. Keyboard multimedia keys (that is, all 'Fn'+F-keys) for:
    i) Volume +/-, Mute
    ii) Screen Brightness
    iii) Keyboard backlight control
3. Power Modes.

Will ASUS please consider contributing by helping out the developers who are working on full support here?
https://github.com/flukejones/asusctl/issues/25

For keyboard, it seems they need documentation on how the USB and Bluetooth modes encode the multimedia keys. I'm unsure what the HD Audio driver code needs to detect the UX8406 sound hardware properly.

Any news on official support (upstream kernel drivers etc.) would be appreciated!

Thank you for the response. It is disappointing to hear ASUS does not work to support Linux, however; this is a very nice laptop and given some minor work it would be an ideal workstation. With some documentation on the keyboard and audio system I am sure the Linux community could update support themselves.
