I had Sims 3 installed for years and it works well. However, recently, I was on it and my laptop shuts down automatically. It happened a few times to a point I don't think it's worth starting the game. Please help. Thanks. xx

Laptop shuts down when playing games

Before Playing that game did you updated the game updates.
Also update the latest graphics driver.
Also disable antivirus and defender software.

hummm...Sounds like a heat issue to me.

Maybe it is overheating or something, try the games in its minimum settings.

I also faced this problem few days ago. When I start taking screenshot or video while playing the game then it automatically shuts down. I understand it and then I used to change the way to take the screenshot. Now I am using another ways to take the screenshot on the Asus laptop. After using another way my laptop works well while playing the game and now I can play the game and take the screenshot and video of the screen without any problem. So you can also try this.
