Any type-c usb to 3.5mm adapter would work as these are standard sizes.

Have you thought about using type-c only headphones/earphones. My Samsung

S20 type-c earphones work nicely with ROG 2.

Nope any type of dongle doesnt work. The dongle needs a DAC in it.
