Very dark screen when receiving a new notification

I am not sure if the AOD and New Notification options use the same brightness control software.  I can tolerate invisible AOD, but can you please make the screen brighter when a new notification is shown on the screen?

Have you turned on the settings for wake screen when you receive notifications?

I guess it's ok to be dim since AOD notifications are broken anyway.  Content doesn't show regardless of settings.  🙄
