The update has finally been released. Go to Settings -> System -> System Update.
I did the update and no longer have the bootloop.

I would be interested to hear if other people have updated and don't have the boot loop before I decide to update my phone. It's not that I don't trust ASUS but well actually no I don't trust ASUS.

That's great news that it fixes the bootloop issue.
Now, does it have any new issues like how they broke Whatsapp on the ROG 7?
