Battery smell coming from ports

There's a faint smell of battery coming from my phone when i stick my nose close to the usb-c ports and headphone jack. Is the battery leaking? Cause I haven't noticed any overheating or serious battery draining

Consdiering how the phone is designed I assume its because the battery is starting to bloat.

The phone is not even a month old and I never pushed it that hard. The warmest the phone ever got was about 38 celsius (surface temperature).

It might also been stored in a bad place or something, whatever the case may be i'd try to get it diagnosed asap.
