Display blacks out after switching from desktop to valorant for 2 seconds

I have a asus tuf f15 i5-10th gen 1650ti nvidia 144hz...so whenever I alt tab to desktop from valorant *plugged in* the display becomes black for 2 secs..ik there is something with the refresh rate but is it normal and why does it become black when already it's plugged in and already on 144hz please let me know if u have the answer
