The most recent version of the ZenWifi ET8 v.1 firmware appears to contain a bug. I installed it and immediately experienced a significant (i.e., approximately 75%) reduction in my internet speed. Contacted Asus support but no solution was offered. I rolled back the firmware to an earlier version manually and my internet speed was restored. I caution anyone else who may upgrade to the new firmware version.

I opened a case with Asus tech support. They offered no realistic solution to my problem. I fixed it myself by rolling back the firmware to an earlier version. It works fine now. Tech support told me I need to reset my router and node to factory settings, which I'm not going to do. In the future, I suggest Asus adequately its firmware releases before rolling them out. I've never updated the firmware for any product that caused an error resulting in the need to restore the device to factory settings.
