Hi there,
I have inherited a PC built around this motherboard, and am currently trying to get it back to a working state. There's currently non SSD installed, but I have a few Linux live distros and some tools, among them MediCat. Motherboard has BIOS version 1903, Medicat resides on a USB3.0 drive.
I used it successfully on a variety of PCs, but for some reason, on this motherboard it refuses to boot. It always asks me to correct the CSM parameters. I tried various combinations, to no avail.
More, it seems like other bootable drives based off USB3.0 drives just don't boot for some reason. The BIOS is always advising me to modify CSM settings, without telling which ones would be the correct ones. The manual isn't very helpful in that regard either.

@cubytus it sounds like you're trying to UEFI/GPT boot on a motherboard that only has support for MBR boot records. Try a different image on the USB stick that uses MBR.

AFAIK a USB stick has to have either GPT or MBR, but can't have both at the same time. Does this motherboard support GUID?

I tried with yet another reset, and it finally booted up. So that is one solved issue.
Yet another one appearead as it would frequently freeze right after logo. I suspected the RAM could have been bad, so downclocked the RAM to 1333MHz just to be on the safe side. Both sticks pass Memtest86 tests. Some other times, when I select the native resolution of the monitor I'm using, it crashes and GPU fan switches to max. No manual or forum to ask about it on AMD's website.
Not sure what to try next as I can't stabilize it yet CPU is running cool.

Hello @cubytus
May we kindly ask which CPU model you have currently installed and whether a GPU is installed for video output?
Based on the situation you described, we recommend cross-testing the relevant hardware where possible. Please try minimal hardware configuration as well, if needed, to help rule out any possible problems. Should the problem persist, we suggest considering whether service or repair might be needed.
Thank you.
