PG27AQDM - finding older firmware versions

Hello, my problem is that with recent firmware updates my monitor calibration looks worse and worse, it looked best on MCM104, then gradually something started to go haywire with gamma and color tints. It wouldn’t be such a big problem if I could just roll back, but that one version that worked for me isn’t available anymore, oldest one to download is MCM106 and it’s no good already. Is there a way to get access to MCM104 and maybe 105 again? Thanks

Hi @AceCoop ,

Thank you for contacting us.

To assist you more accurately with the color issue on your screen, we would like you to provide more detailed information:

  1. Problem description: Could you please describe the color problem you are currently experiencing? For example, is the color yellowish, too red, distorted, or are there color blocks? If you can provide a comparison image, it will be easier for us to judge.
  2. Usage environment: What device are you currently using (computer, laptop)? What is the operating system version?
  3. Software settings: Have you used any image adjustment software or drivers?

We suggest you try the following steps:

  1. Restore factory settings: Restore the screen settings to factory defaults to rule out the impact of personal settings.
  2. Replace the cable: Try using other HDMI or DisplayPort cables to rule out the possibility of cable failure.
  3. Update the graphics card driver: Ensure that your graphics card driver is the latest version for optimal display performance.
  4. Check the port: Make sure the connection between the screen and the computer is secure.

Regarding firmware updates:

Firmware updates usually include performance optimizations, bug fixes, and new features.

To provide you with the best user experience, we recommend that you update your screen firmware to the latest version.

Thank you.

I’m using Windows 11 desktop pc. I did all basic troubleshooting steps you suggested, but it just shows that monitor does work technically correctly, problem strictly is in the new firmware version and the way it changed things about color reproduction, I don’t understand for what reason.

There’s definitely a red color tint present, but my main problem is with gamma, it looks raised now, I can’t get black level to look correct now no matter which settings I try. I’m talking mostly about HDR mode by the way, you can’t change much there, only color temperature. I’d really like to be able to send comparison shots, but I can’t rollback to firmware where everything looked right, it’s not available to download anymore, and for me it’d be the easiest fix, didn’t have any performance problems there either.

Hi @AceCoop ,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the color issue you're experiencing after updating to the latest firmware.

If you have already tried factory resetting, adjusting settings, and updating the firmware, but the issue persists, we recommend sending your display to the nearest authorized service center for inspection by a professional engineer.
