Detailed Changes in applications :

1. ASUS Browser 

Removed the “Set as default browser” option from “Settings” in all Android Marshmallow (6.0) devices. Users can set other browsers as default one. 

2. Do not disturb

With framework change in Android Marshmallow(6.0), user can manually activate "Do not disturb mode"in volume panel but Auto-off option is moved to quick settings menu.

Please tap "Alarms only" in Quick setting for advanced setting of alarm.

(Difference between 5.0 and 6.0)

3. Enabled "Doze mode" to extend battery life 

Doze Mode activates when 

  • Device is not in use
  • Screen of device is shut off
  • Device is not in charging status

In Doze mode:

  • Network access is suspended.
  • The system ignores wake locks.
  • The system does not perform Wi-Fi scans/search.
  • The system does not allow sync adapters to run.
  • The system does not allow Job Scheduler to run.

To quit Doze mode when:

  • User turns on and start using the device
  •  Alarm clock is going off

4) Please note Android Marshmallow no longer supports App2SD function. Please move the APPs to internal storage before you upgrade to Android Marshmallow. Otherwise, you may need to reinstall APPs after upgrade.

How to move APPs to internal storage:Go to Settings> Apps> choose the APPs you want to move and tap Move to device storage.

 


 

Please also note the settings below will be removed in Android  Marshmallow; that is, you will not be able to install apps to SD card.
