The handy fingerprint sensor on your ZenFone 3 doesn't only provide you with an upgraded security, but also allows you to unlock your phone in just 0.2 seconds so you can answer your calls, launch the camera, or take photos in a flash. Take a look at the scenarios below and see how the fingerprint sensor can make your daily life more convenient!

Tap and hold to answer phone calls
Did you know that you can tap and hold the ZenFone 3's fingerprint sensor to answer phone calls in a snap? This feature makes it more direct and convenient if you're used to operating your phone with one hand.

To enable the feature, go to Settings > Fingerprint, then turn on Answer incoming calls.

Double tap to launch camera
Moments most deserving of being photographed are too often gone in the blink of an eye. Now it’s easier to capture the unexpected such as your cat’s quirky faces or the smile of a baby: just tap on your fingerprint sensor twice and your camera will be ready.

To enable the feature, go to Settings > Fingerprint, then turn on Launch camera.

Note: Ensure that your phone is unlocked for this feature to work.

One tap to capture photos
Taking a selfie with one hand can be a bit tricky: you have to use your thumb to hold the phone steadily but at the same time you need to use that thumb to tap the shutter button. Perfectly positioned on the back of your ZenFone 3, the fingerprint sensor can act as a shutter button so you can take selfies effortlessly with just one hand!

To enable the feature, go to Settings > Fingerprint, then turn on Capture a photo.

Note: Ensure that your camera app is launched for this fingerprint feature to work.

Use your fingerprint sensor on your ZenFone 3 now to answer calls and capture photos super conveniently and faster than ever before!

Notes:

  • Fingerprint sensor is only available on the ZenFone 3 series.
  • The fingerprint sensor's location may vary according to the mobile phone model. The fingerprint sensors of ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe are located on the back. ZenFone 3 Ultra's fingerprint sensor is located on the home button.
  • Some features or interfaces may vary depending on the model or Android system/firmware version. ZenFone 3 Ultra does not support Launch Camera and Capture a photo features.
  • All screenshots shown in this article are based on Android 7.
