The Camera app has a focus indicator that shows you where the camera is focusing on. This focus indicator is the square-like icon that appears onscreen when you start the camera.
The color of the focus indicator changes depending on its status. Once it changes from white to green, the subject under the indicator is now in focus and ready for photo-taking.
Here are some more tips that can help you maximize the focus indicator:
- By default, the camera focuses at the center area. You may change it by tapping the subject you'd like to specifically focus on. Doing this also activates auto-focus on your chosen subject.
- Enable Touch shutter from the Camera settings. This allows you to simultaneously auto-focus then capture a photo after tapping onscreen.
- Keep your camera lens clean to help prevent blurry photos.
