I'd like to ask something. I'm an Italian user and, thus, my phone is Italian. I have an ASUS X008D ZC520TL (Zenfone 3 MAX 5.2"), but when I check for the manual updates for firmwares on the italian version of the ASUS site, I don't see anything leading to Android 8.0, all is shown is an update even older than the one I currently have installed (which came via FOTA, update WW_Phone-14.01.1808.120-20180803). Do I need to wait for my country's version of the 8.0 update? Will it ever arrive? Or is it safe to download the one in this thread, linked above? Thank you in advance!
Was this device bought directly through operator, such as TIM, or from a "channel store" ? Generally it should be OK to manually go to Pie with this version, if bought from a channel store , from the links above; Operator models may have operator specific firmware.
