I recently purchased an ASUS ProArt P16 H7606WI that came with an ASUS USB Ethernet dongle. Unfortunately, the dongle is not recognized on my laptop running Windows 11.
Here’s what I’ve observed so far:
- In Device Manager, the dongle appears as “USB 10/100/1000 LAN” under “Other Devices” with a Code 28 error, stating that no drivers are installed.
- The ASUS support page for my laptop does not provide specific drivers for this dongle.
- Windows Update and automatic driver updates didn’t resolve the issue.
- The dongle does not show any functionality in the network settings.
Steps I’ve already tried:
- Updating Windows to the latest version.
- Searching for generic drivers (e.g., Realtek or ASIX) and manually attempting to install them.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone from the community or ASUS support could help me with the following:
- A direct link to the correct driver for the RJ45 dongle.
- Any troubleshooting steps or workarounds to make this dongle work.
Thanks in advance for your help!
