Unfortunately Android no longer detects the compass sensor in my ZenFone 9. I'm running Android 14 on the latest firmware, however I actually think this is a hardware issue.
If I open the calculator and enter .12345+= and enter the diagnostic test menu for the e-compass sensor, it comes back as "not working".
I have taken the phone to a phone repair shop to try to rectify the issue. However having opened the phone they can't actually locate the compass sensor on any of the boards.
I have also watched a number of ZenFone 9 teardown videos on YouTube but they don't seem to mention the e-compass sensor anywhere.
Can anybody identify where it is please? If this was accompanied by a schematic diagram, or even just a photo, if possible this would be incredibly helpful to me.
