Theme and icon settings are non existent

Hi! I just purchased a Zenfone 7 Pro and I realized the Theme setting doesn't exist. I can't change my icons or apply a theme. There is no other app that I can download as a third party that would let me customize the theme and icons. Is it something that needs to be fixed? Or the theme and icon customization is really non existent for Zenfone 7 Pro?

Yeah themes are gone.
But I use Aycon to change icons on my home screen.

That's strange,try going to settings and type in theme and you should see this
If you don't something is wrong

Theme and icon settings are non existent

The ZenUI isn't a customizable UI, it's a very clean version of Android. You can't apply themes only if you find some theme apps on google play. (3rd party apps) There are also other smartphone companies who do the same.

Thank you! In the meantime, I found out that, unlike the previous versions, Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro don't have this option.

Oh yeah I know what you mean now I had that on the old 5 Z as well but yes you guys are right the zenfone 7 doesn't have it

The themes setting was in the ZenFone 6 but removed from 7. He can sideload a previous version of ZenUI Theme that works with the 7 though

It works somewhat but the themes on there aren't great anyway.

Installing a third party launcher is probably the best way. I used to use Nova Launcher Prime on previous phones. But I'm happy with stock ZenUI that I haven't felt the need to go back to Nova.

Yes your right,I do remember it now. Again your right it wasn't much to write home about, probably why I couldn't recall it straight away. Either that or my 60 something brain was having a senior's moment. LoL
The only good thing about getting old is being able to blame everything on the big A when you can't remember 😜
