Battery Drain on ZenFone 7 Pro

Was very happy with the battery performance on my new zenfone 7 pro till the last update came about a week back. Battery drain happens very fast since. Battery drains in 4 hours of usage max. After a full nights charge, it drops to 50% by midday with moderate usage. Previously, with similar usage it was 50% only by end of the day.
Not sure how to fix this as i believe the firmware is latest?
Any help is appreciated.

I also have Zenfone 7 Pro and on the latest update. Battery life is rubbish to say it in a nice way. I also have been using the Pixel 3a until now like "fear_dot_com_2000". With same usage i am not even checking the battery life on the Pixel 3a because it last an infinity on a 3000mAh battery.
As some suggested here, switching off AOD (always on panel) should help. Not the case for me though.
I usually turn off all those features (same on Pixel 3a). I only have the screen wake-up if a notification comes up.
In theory i would be able to cope with the battery life, but the phone is massive and heavy also partially due to the 5000mAh battery - and that's where my problem lies: With this battery, i would expect 8-9 hours average SoT. Nothing less for my usage. Now i have barely 5 hours.

I own the phone for just a few days but I imediately saw the difference in battery life in comparison with Poco F2 pro, it has very similar specs but only 60Hz display and I had 10h+ SOT with that phone, with Zenfone 7 pro I can get somewhere around 6h SOT (I had Performance battery mode set to be fair) so I'll try with balanced
I found out that when on Performance mode, not only screen RR is set to 90Hz but many apps (games) run in hihger FPS, here is one example:
Balanced mode:
Pokemon Go RR: 60Hz and in game FPS: 30
Performance mode:
Pokemon Go RR: 90Hz and in game FPS: 45
I think it's obvious that the phone drains so much faster

PS: I wasn't able to find the app where Balanced mode would set RR to 90Hz, I enabled FPS counter from Developer's options and for each and every app it shows 60 and it's very similar with Performance mode, it sets RR to 90Hz and FPS counter then shows 90 for each and every app, even for embedded video player in the gallery when playing the video (Android 11 beta)
