Issue with Changing device name.

I'm having a similar issue with my 6Z as discussed in the following link.

How can we change the name?

The name is what it is and it can't be changed, won't be changed and the only thing you can do, is to accept it.

But why??? Atleast give us some possible solution to this issue. Every other major brand has option to change the device name. Kindly discuss with the team members and try to come up with something helpful in this regard.
