Zenfone 11 Ultra NFC problems - update

I posted a few weeks ago about a gradual failure of the NFC function on my phone. It was sent off for repair and is now working (it went from the UK to a Czech repair place, and back again, as there are no UK repair centres at the moment). From the repair sheet it looks like two "prevention issue" things happened adding part number 13ai00n0lf6111 twice, which is some sort of foil thing, and also a "NFC Function error" repair occurred which has the detail "Repair without use a new component - add  / reassembly / reconnect / cleaning."  The sheet also mentioned "Warranty fixing of the back cover (corrected problems mentioned by the customer) and associated parts was performed. Preventative rework was performed."

The torch would go off before it was repaired if you tapped the back panel. It doesn't now. Perhaps something was loose? No other part numbers are listed. Posted here in case anyone else has the same problem.

Unfortunately, whilst everything worked for a couple of weeks I had my first two failures today. It took four attempts for payment to go through and the terminal needed to be reset as it hung. At the next retailer I couldn't get any response until I squeezed the phone in the spot I've discovered. I had a look at the casing and, as before, the back cover is lifting off ever so slightly under the camera area in the middle of the long dimension. The other side (away from the camera) is fine and the rear cover is snug. This would suggest the phone is not longer water proof if the cover is opening up.

Asus, how many times do I need to return my phone before a lasting solution is found? It's clear removing the cover, applying glue again, and closing it up isn't proving to be a lasting solution. At some stage the costs of international courier services to/from Europe are going make it cheaper to send a new replacement or a new model that doesn't have the problem.
