Why have Asus killed ZF10 software support early?

Last patch was 5 months ago and Android shows my security patch level as red because it's so out of date. 

This phone is still officially supported. When will b the next security update be released?

I do not expect anything from Asus anymore so there is no disappointment.

Sell the phone and never buy Asus again is the only recommendation I can give.
