Mobile data completely broken after most recent update

My Zenfone 10 has been totally unable to connect to any internet over mobile network since the most recent update (35.0604.0404.109).  I'm using T-Mobile in the US.

This sucks, I really liked this phone, and only bought it a year ago. But it's totally unusable without mobile data.

The symptoms are super weird - the status bar shows signal, but there is no connection. It initially shows "4G" or "5G" with the connection not working, then after a minute, the status bar changes to showing an "E." SMS, calls, and WiFi all work fine - it's only internet over the mobile networks. I contacted support, and all they did was walk me through the steps in https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1011478/, which I already had tried (except for factory reset).

Is there a fix being worked on for this, or is it time to just give up on Asus and go over to iPhone? This is an insane bug to release.

Mine just started doing the same after it updated a couple days ago. So far no help from Mint or Asus service chat....  

There's an option for trying beta updates I might try out, but it seems like something in the carrier settings got fubar. Mint also uses Tmobile's network. When I try to input their recommended carrier settings, there are 2 fields missing that I can't input, I wonder if that's part of it.

Actually - I seem to have solved it by swapping the SIM to the 2nd port, and telling it to use that sim for data service. Too afraid to mess with it to try putting it back. I was also on chat with mint at the time and they were "resetting things on their end" but I don't think that did anything.

Try restarting your phone  checking APN settings  and resetting network settings. If that does not  help rollback the update or contact support.

I'm having the exact same issue. My phone updated yesterday and today I have no network, only wifi. I'm also on Tmobile. I've tried all the recommendations, including factory reset, nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
