Hi guys, bit stressed out here. Dropped a 40kg dumbbell on the bottom half of my phone. No power, no nothing. Doesn't vibrate when holding power. See pictures and tell me what you think. Recoverable? It is a Zenfone 10 UK 512gb. Data is ridiculously important on there and I need to have this brainstormed ASAP as I have the new duplicate phone arriving tomorrow to have it used as a donor.
My thoughts: Since the data is stored on the motherboard, can I just get a donor phone and transfer the motherboard to a brand new phone and have the data work fresh on the new one? That's what the repair shop said though I have my doubts.
Option 1: Transfer motherboard to brand new duplicate phone. Done.
Option 2: Keep motherboard in destroyed phone but replace the parts (I think the usb port is broken and the LCD/screen is broken) from the donor phone to the broken phone. Done.
Why is there 2 options? I fear that with option 1 and moving the motherboard, it may have issues. E.g, incompatibility with with new phones parts (married or whatever) or or the delicate motherboard getting damaged in transfer.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

If you need to retain your data, I would recommend using the same model of components to repair the old device.

Hello, thanks for your message. So as far as the method for the repair process goes, what do you suggest?
Based on the pictures and how these phones work/placement of motherboard/important parts, what exactly looks broken and does it look salvageable at this stage?
Thanks.

Based on the images, the screen, back cover, and phone frame may all need to be replaced.
As for the internal components, since we cannot determine the condition without disassembly, we are unable to confirm whether the motherboard or related parts are also damaged. Therefore, we still recommend bringing your phone to a service center for further inspection.
