Hello, I have the following issue: when I start my computer, the screen doesn't turn on or it turns on after more than 5 minutes. This happens most often when starting up after standby mode. I would appreciate your help!

May I ask for the full model of the laptop you are using?

When there is no display on the screen, it is recommend trying to connect an external monitor to check if there is any output. This will help determine whether the issue is with the laptop’s own screen.

Alternatively, please go to Device Manager, uninstall the display adapter, and then download and reinstall the graphics driver from our website to see if this resolves the issue.

sorry for my late answer. 

The model is: ASUS UX5406S

I tried to  uninstall the display adapter, and then download and reinstall the graphics driver from ASUS website, but the problem was not solved.

Unfortunately, I don't have another display to connect.

When the sound is on, you can hear that the computer is working (a video is playing), but the screen is black. I have to turn it off by holding down the power button in order for the screen to light up

If the issue persists after reinstalling the graphics driver, it is possible that the screen cable has malfunctioned. We recommend sending your laptop to a service center for further inspection.
