Hi,
I have following problem with my laptop while watching YouTube no matter if I'm using windows 11 or Zorin OS.
Problem:
When I watch YouTube or do other network-heavy tasks (streaming video, multiple browsers), my laptop sometimes freezes completely:
– screen shows green / corrupted blocks,
– mouse and keyboard stop responding,
– sound stops,
– I must hold the power button to turn it off.
This happens both in Windows 11 and in Linux, but only when network is active (Wi-Fi). I can watch local/offline videos for hours without any problem. on windows the problem came after updating wifi card but I installed previous version nothings changed!
Tests I already did:
– RAM tested with memtester 12G 3 under Linux → no errors.
– CPU, Docker, compiling code etc. work fine.
– Problem reproduced in Firefox, Brave, and Chromium-based browsers.
– Problem reproduced on battery and on charger.
Linux logs (Ubuntu/Zorin):
At boot I always see many ACPI BIOS Error messages, for example:
– ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\CTDP], AE_NOT_FOUND
– ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [\_SB.PC00.LPCB.EC0.SEN1._CRT.S1CT], AE_NOT_FOUND
– similar errors for SEN2, SEN3, SEN4 _CRT, _HOT, _PSV, _AC0
Linux kernel developers say this means the BIOS ACPI tables reference objects that are not implemented in firmware, and they recommend contacting the laptop vendor for a BIOS update. Launchpad
During normal use, Wi-Fi logs show frequent signal changes and DHCP “no lease → new lease” cycles, and once a strange line:
– wlo1: CTRL-EVENT-SIGNAL-CHANGE above=1 signal=-9999 noise=9999 txrate=0
There are no GPU HANG / i915 errors right before the freeze; the system just locks up with corrupted screen, so the kernel cannot log anything.
Question:
– Is there an updated BIOS or firmware for this model that fixes these ACPI errors (CTDP, SEN1–SEN4)?
– Could these firmware issues be related to the complete freezes under GPU+Wi-Fi load?
– How can I further diagnose whether the Wi-Fi card (AX201) or motherboard is defective?

Hi
Dunno.
I run this for some wi-fi info .....
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 8087:0026 Intel Corp. AX201 Bluetooth on my VivoBook.
As I am running Linux Mint and W11 I may be able to offer some insights.
If in doubt please ask.

@akeihan13
If you encounter the same issue under different operating systems, it is likely caused by a hardware malfunction. We recommend sending your laptop to a service center for further inspection. Before repair, please back up your data and, if possible, record a video of the issue to provide to the service staff for reference.
The following is the contact information:

My laptop does not have the warranty and It's my first Asus laptop, if it's hardware issue after 3.3 years, I will never buy asus again!
