How to properly roll back network adapter drivers?

D_IMAN

@Falcon_ASUS

I noticed that on the specified driver version, the Internet speed is noticeably lower than on the previous driver version!

Also in the router settings (Keenetic Hopper) I constantly see that my laptop has a lower speed than other devices (although it has priority set), and it almost always works on 1x1...
On the previous driver version, there were no problems!

How to properly roll back the driver so that after the rollback the new driver version is not installed again?

Or maybe ASUS is planning to update the driver in the near future?

@D_IMAN
It is recommend that you refer to the following FAQ.
[Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Wireless Network (Wi-Fi) Issues
First, please go to our website to download an earlier version of the driver.
MediaTek WLAN Driver Version V3.0.1.1237
Then, uninstall the wireless network device in Device Manager, and reinstall the driver to check if the issue is resolved.

Removing a new version of the driver and installing the old one is not a problem!

The problem is different, because after some time, the driver will be updated to the current version again...
How to avoid this?

@D_IMAN
To avoid any misunderstanding, I would like to confirm with you once again.
After installing the older driver version V3.0.1.1237, the network speed returns to normal, but when using the driver version V3.0.1.1331, the issue you mentioned occurs. Is that correct?

I haven't installed the old version of the driver yet because I don't know how to prevent the old driver from updating to the new version automatically!

Maybe you can tell me how to do this?

@D_IMAN
Since Windows Update cannot be permanently stopped, we recommend temporarily pausing updates using the following methods.
Stop updates from downloading and installing
https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1044671/#Win11_A2
During this period, please check if the issue you reported can be resolved with the previous version of the driver.
This will help relevant departments conduct further verification later.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
