Dear all, I’m having trouble using and activating Dolby Atmos on my laptop. I’ve already reinstalled the drivers from the ASUS website and restored the system to factory settings, but they still don’t activate. Whenever I open the Dolby Access app, it asks me to purchase a license.
How can I restore Dolby Atmos? Is there a specific installer?

Hello! I used the system’s factory reinstallation, using the ASUS backup image.
Product Type: Notebook
Product Model: S5406SA
Product S/N: T6N0B6030714260
Operating System / Firmware or BIOS version: Windows 11
Firmware S5406SA.326
Windows 11 Home Edition
Version 25H2
Installed on 01/17/2026
OS Build 26200.7623
Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.275.0

On the website, there is no specific section to download a Dolby Atmos driver — only the audio driver, which is a Realtek installer from the Microsoft Store.

Do the following in this order.....First uninstall Realtek Audio driver in Device Manager (right click uninstall) → then  reboot.
Install the Realtek Codec/Console from the S5406SA support page → reboot.
Install the Dolby Atmos driver from the same page → reboot again.
Open Dolby Access — Atmos for the laptop speakers should activate without asking to buy anything.

@aurifreire
No further payment should be required for the use of the audio driver.

Could you please clarify whether the system you currently have installed was provided by us, or if it was installed independently by you?

Could you also confirm the system version and OS build you are using, and provide any error messages or screenshots that appear?

Additionally, we recommend reviewing driver installation methods shared by other users to see if that helps resolve the situation.

@aurifreire
May I confirm whether the issue is still occurring after restoring the system?

If so, could you please provide a screenshot of the prompt or message that appears for our review?

Additionally, please help provide the audio driver version you are currently using.

Thank you.
