My ZenFone 5 does not update!

My ZenFone 5 does not update via ota, nor if I play the update directly on the device's root memory, it always ends up giving an error, when it reaches 25%, my device is still on Android 8.0

 Could someone please give me a solution?

I managed to solve it! When I tried to install an update, my mistake was in downloading v16 updates, and first I had to download the latest v15 version first, now everything is fine, I even get updates via ota normally now

Move your latest firmware into your local storage. Restart your phone. Wait for a while till the notification tell you to upgrade.
