Side and home, both require two swipes for one action when in a game.

I have that issue too. For streaming apps (Spotify, for example) and games (call of duty, Minecraft, etc), when I swipe from the side of the screen to go back or from the bottom of the screen to go to the recents or home screen, it says "swipe again to activate". Having to double swipe in most apps makes the gesture navigation feature go from useful to redundant pretty quickly.

Yes I find gesture navigation not convenient as well. I see most productive this setting
