the next ROG Phone

I bought a OnePlus13 for my wife, who wanted the best possible camera on an Android smartphone, with outstanding performance and capable of lasting, eSIM, water-resistant, and with a modern battery (Si/C Li-Ion). Now I wonder: it is much cheaper than the ROG9 but offers much more. Hasselblad also collaborated for the camera lenses. What justifies this difference?

Asus, don't waste your time with useless features like AirTriggers, Cooler or fancy LED screen on the back.
I would like to have full control over GPU/CPU even via external buttons, unlocked bootloader (like the OnePlus13), at least 4 OS updates, a good and fast camera, eSIM, powerful speakers and a modern battery.

Totally agree — OnePlus13 strikes a great balance between performance, camera quality (thanks to Hasselblad), and long-term support, all at a more reasonable price point. Asus should definitely focus more on practical features like better thermal control, longer software support, and unlocked customization rather than flashy gimmicks.

By the way, if you're into optimizing tech use for family or education, this calculator for kids is a fun and educational tool that might be worth checking out.

bro, do you know what's ROG stands for? what you state should be directed to zenfone instead. pulling out airtriggers defeats the complete purpose of gaming phone in a first place, i agree about making camera better but it should not be a priority for a gaming phone

On paper, airtriggers are a great idea, but at least for me, they're unreliable with high latency, and it's even worse after the usual untested bad OS updates from ASUS.

At this point just buy Zenfone lmao.

While the OnePlus 13 is undeniably a well-rounded flagship, especially for camera and daily use, the ROG Phone series is built with a completely different audience in mind—hardcore mobile gamers. The ROG Phone 9 (and its predecessors) prioritize features like an advanced cooling system, ultra-responsive touch sampling, dedicated gaming triggers, higher refresh rates, and a performance-first chipset configuration that's sustained under heavy load. These additions drive up the cost but are crucial for users who demand peak mobile gaming performance. If you're still exploring what best suits your use-case or just want to see how performance truly stacks up, I’d highly recommend checking out Delta Key it’s a great platform to compare features in depth and see what aligns with your needs.
