ROG 9 FE Gone Dead After Only Six Months of Use

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my ROG 9 FE smartphone, which has unexpectedly stopped working after just six months of use. This device, which I purchased with high expectations for quality and durability, has failed completely without any prior warning ; a situation that is both shocking and unacceptable for a premium product in this price range.

The issue began when the phone suddenly stopped charging. Initially, I assumed it might be a cable or adapter problem, but after testing with multiple chargers and sockets, it became clear that the phone itself was no longer receiving power. Within the same day, the battery drained completely, and the device went completely dead — unresponsive to any form of charging, restarting, or troubleshooting attempts.

I have always handled my devices with great care ; no drops, water exposure, or misuse of any kind. For a high-end phone like the ROG 9 FE to fail so abruptly after just half a year of use is both disappointing and concerning. A product from such a reputable brand should demonstrate much better reliability and longevity, especially considering the significant investment made by customers who trust in the ROG name.

Beyond the inconvenience, this failure has caused me considerable disruption to my daily life and work. My smartphone is an essential tool for communication, scheduling, and productivity and having it rendered useless overnight has left me without access to critical apps, contacts, and information. The fact that such an issue has occurred so soon after purchase raises serious questions about the device’s quality control and durability.

I think that after Asus Rog 3 every thing is gonig backwards, personally for me I have registered few of the Asus products such as portable monitor, Asus Rog phone 9 pro edition, bulwark docking station DG 300 (2025), keyboard and mouse, chargers etc... Support and compatibility is let me say just that I really think to change all of the Asus products, quality and new ideas, vision is not something that Asus can be proud of any more. I understand importance of money for the company and costs for production, delivery, payment, but if they make something and I'm buying, I expect that product is well explained with parameters for that product. Don't put something that is halfway working, after years of using Asus I feel disappointed to.

This is unacceptable!

I've noticed that some companies tend to market expensive products and then forget about them as if they were cheap consumer goods. So it's no surprise that this range of smartphones is losing steam and sales are plummeting. I think they should abandon this model or create a new one every two or three years that is as solid as a tank, thoroughly tested, and backed by comprehensive support. People are willing to pay for quality.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.

It’s very unfortunate that a big company like Asus has such poor quality control for the ROG 9FE.
I’m also a ROG 9FE user. After just two weeks of use, I experienced the same issue — the phone suddenly couldn’t charge at all, whether from the bottom port or the side port. And it happened out of nowhere, even though I never played heavy games and it never overheated. The highest temperature was only when charging, around 44–45 degrees Celsius. So what’s the actual problem?

Can you clarify this case? Is it a software bug or a hardware issue? If it’s a software bug, please fix it immediately. It would be very unfortunate if you lose many loyal customers because of this. This issue isn’t affecting only one or two people — many users have experienced it. In the Indonesian Facebook forums, for example, a lot of people are reporting the same problem.
