If the beta wasn’t ready, just say so — don’t yank it after hyping it.
And another thing: when I bought this phone, it became my property, not some shared custody arrangement between me and ASUS. If you’re going to lock down the bootloader, kill the unlock tool, and keep the servers offline, then you’re effectively treating user-owned devices like corporate hardware.
Either restore the bootloader unlock service or explain why paying customers should accept restrictions on a product they legally own.
If the device is truly “OURS” — as in me and ASUS — then I expect ASUS to cover part of the bill. Otherwise, respect ownership and give users back the ability to unlock what they bought.

I’m requesting direct contact with an ASUS security or engineering team member for a responsible disclosure matter.
I have identified a set of findings on the latest ASUS AI2401 firmware that appear to relate to privileged system behavior and SELinux policy deviations. For obvious reasons, I will not post any technical details publicly, but these findings need to be reviewed by someone on the appropriate internal team.
Please have an ASUS representative who is familiar with Android system internals, SELinux policies, and platform security reach out to me so we can proceed with proper disclosure. I’m prepared to provide full logs, reproduction steps, and verification data directly to ASUS staff through the appropriate secure channel.
Thank you.
you already have my contact info from the my asus app.
Step 1. Create a paper trail.

Where was it said that the Android 16 beta was "yanked"?
