How can we instatly know when NumLk is ON?

Hello !

My previous laptop had a very small led on the "NumLk" button, which saved me a ton of time because I always knew if I can use the numbers or not.

Unfortunately, my current laptop, Asus expertbook, does not have this feature.

Is there any work around ?

For example, the very small led that Asus expertbook has on the power button, can it turn green (or red or any other color) by a script or otherwise, so as to instantly know when the NumLk" is activated or not ?

You can try entering text to check whether Num Lock is enabled or disabled. If it is enabled, you will not be able to input text.
