Hi,
The GPU temperature readings are no longer working correctly in ASUS Armoury Crate. The temperature often gets stuck at 49°C or sometimes at 51°C and doesn’t update.
I also installed MSI Afterburner with RivaTuner Statistics Server, but it doesn't display the correct temperature either. I’ve tried reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers and updating Windows, but the issue persists.
Please check the attached screenshot. In the top right corner, you can see the correct GPU temperature values reported by the NVIDIA software. However, in Armoury Crate, the temperature remains stuck at 49°C—even while playing games, where the temperature should rise to 70°C or more. Armoury Crate continues to display 49°C regardless of actual GPU usage.
Thanks

May I know the full model of the laptop you are using?
[Windows 11/10] How to check the model name and BIOS version
Since you mentioned that you have installed other third-party software for monitoring, to avoid conflicts between the software, it is recommended that you uninstall both MSI Afterburner and Armoury Crate. Then, reinstall only Armoury Crate and ensure that the BIOS version and system version are updated to the latest.
If the issue persists, please refer to the following FAQ steps to capture logs, upload the files to a cloud storage, and provide us with the link so our personnel can further investigate. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
[Gaming NB/DT] Armoury Crate Introduction (Ver6.0)
Q4: What is App Diagnostics?
A4: App Diagnostics can collect Armoury Crate current status log. In Armoury Crate "Settings"① and check "About"② page, If clicking App Diagnostics "Record Log"③, the Privacy Policy Statement will pop out. Once user agreed statement, the Armoury Crate will start to collect problem log. After that, please start to duplicate the problem you have, then back to this page to click "Generate log data"③ to generate the log file with encrypted (ASUS log file). After log saved, user can provide it to the repair center or technical supporter for further Armoury Crate problem diagnostics.

Hello,
I’ve installed the new NVIDIA driver, and everything is working fine now.
I do have one more question—what is the maximum safe temperature for the GTX 4070 Laptop GPU? I've noticed that when playing Days Gone and GTA V, the temperature sometimes reaches up to 87°C.
Here are my system details:

BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends International, LLC. FX507VI.329, 02/04/2025
Thank you.

This depends on each specific model. We recommend using HWINFO to capture the relevant data, and then using the previously provided method to capture logs and provide them to us for further verification. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
