I have a ASUS N61JV X2 that is all glass like it would be a touch screen but figure can not be as it don't work if it is
and a another one with a standard screen with Bazel
why does one have a full glass front while the other don't?
was it a special edition?

Hi
Bit if an internet search gives this ...
All ASUS N61JQ-X1 models feature a glossy display, but they do not use a glass surface—the screen is a standard glossy LED-backlit LCD. The glossiness comes from the plastic polarizer layer on top of the LCD rather than an actual glass panel, which is typical for most laptops in this series. There are no N61JQ-X1 models with true "glass" displays; all retail units use a glossy (reflective) plastic finish over the LED LCD panel and none include touchscreen capability or premium glass surfacing like some later Ultrabook designs.
But that does not explain why you believe one is glass.

Hi
Dunno.
If they both work satisfactorily then just accept that is the way things are.
